The Table saws in the shop are “SawStop” saws. They will stop the blade in a matter of Millie seconds if it senses a foreign object such as a human finger. There are 3 saws (#2, #3 & #4) just as you come in the front door plus a Dado saw (#1) that is used to make wider cuts then a normal saw blade. Table saws are primarily used to make very accurate 90-degree cuts. However, the blade can be tilted to make bevel cuts up to 45 degrees.

The miter saw as the name implies is used for making angle cuts. The whole saw can rotate from +50 degrees to -50 degrees and positioned very accurately. The table has extensions on either side so that 8′ boards can be cut.
