The Sun City West Woodshop is a social club that operates under a set of bylaws approved by the Sun City West Rec Board. Our shop is located behind the Kuentz Recreation Center. The shop is very well equipped and maintained. It is a place to make items out of wood and have a great time doing it. It is not a production facility where members can make items to sell to the public. Exceptions to this rule allow members to sell approved items at the SCW Village Store and at one or both of the 2 craft fairs that are held in the spring and fall.
The Wood Shop has social events every month. In the summer we have a luncheon every month; in the winter we have happy hours in the Kuentz courtyard. Also in the spring and fall, picnics at Beardsley Park are scheduled, and a holiday dinner and dance are held in early December.
